Data Center Technician I installs, maintains, and repairs the hardware and physical infrastructure of a data center facility to ensure the performance, availability, and security of data. Follows established procedures to troubleshoot, repair, or upgrade servers, storage systems, and other data center equipment. Being a Data Center Technician I documents and maintains comprehensive records of environmental conditions to track and ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Data Center Technician I typically reports to a supervisor. The Data Center Technician I works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.
